The Collins Career Technical Center in Ohio offers a Paramedic to Registered Nurse (RN) Diploma program. This program is designed for individuals who have already licensed paramedics and wish to become registered nurses. The program combines paramedic training with nursing education to give students the knowledge and skills to provide advanced patient care as registered nurses. The curriculum covers topics such as anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, nursing fundamentals, and patient assessment, as well as hands-on training in a clinical setting. The program is full-time and typically takes 11 months to complete. Upon completing the program, graduates can take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) to become registered nurses. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the median annual wage for registered nurses was $77,600 in May 2021. Job growth for registered nurses is projected to be much faster than average for all occupations.
